These free programs allow you to read files created from these Microsoft applications without having the applications installed on your computer. The
files are not updateable when opened with a viewer.
Microsoft Office XP and 2003 in general uses the same file formats as Office 97 and Office 2000.
Hence, viewers that refer to 97 or 2000 will generally open Office XP/2002 and
2003
version files.
